25 Jul 2010 10:17

280 Primary school children were introduced to hockey as part of this year’s FIH Youth Challenge.

The program was designed as Hockey tournament for primary schools in Scotland which included games and skills workshops for participants, with the message being it is a Fun tournament not about winning.

The aim was to create a fun atmosphere for primary schools to come and compete at the national stadium.

To follow up teams are free to enter this tournament each year. Each team receives a certificate on completion of the tournament and no overall winner is announced as its friendly. All the participants were given information  on how to join clubs in their areas.
